How much fun can one guy have with pant legs?

I pined Aman's pants and my mom came over to sew them. When she trimmed off the bottoms, she let the boy have them. You would not imagine how much fun they have been having with them. David started putting it over his eyes and saying Bye, then lifting it and saying HI!

We are back

The snow we woke up to this morning

We decided to leave a day early, so Jill could relax without screaming and diapers for a day. So when she left with Jim yesterday we cleaned up packed and left for Knoxville. We met up at a Chili's for lunch so we could say goodbye. We were having a nice meal until all of the sudden Adam got sleepy. I picked him up and all the sudden he puked on me. Yep in the front of the restaurant where we were sitting. Ever try caring a kid who puked all over you through the restaurant to the bathroom in the back? Our waitress was a little slow and didn't even notice he puked. She walked up and asked if we needed anything when I was headed for the bathroom. She actually looked shocked when I said yes we needed help. We think it was congestion again since the weather changed. We drove home in the rain and got in about 10:30 Illinois time. Adam is doing fine now, he has a runny nose, but hasn't been sick since.

The day before we left we went to Speedway in lights at Bristol. We waited in line for a hour and a half before we got in. IT WAS PACKED! The ticket guys said it was the busiest day of the year. I didn't take as many photos as last year, cause a lot was repeat performance. I didn't like the incline this year either. I have no idea how drivers do it!!! I mean I was terrified going like 10 mph. Anyway it was Jim's first year and I think he enjoyed it a lot.

update on trip

Yesterday was Thanksgiving and it went just fine. We had lunch at Jills church. Adam slept through the beginning. David had some croissant, and Adam didn't eat too much just some desert and a few bites of stuff off my plate. I think Adam was a little nervous in front of new people.
I am missing my own bed and sleeping through the night. David was restless all night last night and I think I got about 4 hours of sleep. I didn't even need a alarm clock to get up early this morning. Aman and I were out the door about 4:30 this morning. That is 3:30 our normal time. We didn't find much. We bought ourselves a shredder. Then we went to Jim's hotel so he could go to the waffle house and I slept in his room while they went. Then they came back to get me and I decided to sleep some more. I didn't get up until 9am when I heard the housekeeping people coming down the hall.
Anyway for lunch we decided to take the boys to Chuck E Cheeses. So here are some photo's of the trip.

More of the Tennessee Trip

Today we went to get Uncle Jim at the airport in Knoxville. David, Aunt Jill, and I all went to get him. While Aman and Adam went to Bass Pro Shop and a army supply store. After we picked up Jimmy we went to the mall so Jill could get some stuff at the body shop. Then we went to a store to look for dresses for me. I have to get a dress to wear to dinner at the Christmas party for Amans work. I found a couple, but I have decided on a black and gray polka dot dress. At least for now, I am thinking about returning it. There was one at Kohls that I liked a lot. It came in black and red. I was going to go red, but Aman is wearing a olive-hunter greenish suit. So I am going to stick with black or something like that so we don’t clash badly.

We are having a great time down here. We all went to lunch today at the Old Mill Restaurant, and then we went to the Ripleys Aquarium. The boys liked it especially the jelly fish. Adam was kind fussing and Aman pointed them out and he said Jelly fish….. Spongebob Squarepants. We said yep that is what he catches. We took lots of pictures of all sorts of things. Either tomorrow or Friday we hope to go to Speedway in lights. Tomorrow for lunch we are going to Jills church for Thanksgiving.

I took a lot of pictures of this exhibit. I thought it was kinda neat to teach the kids about it. They also had a movie playing to teach the kids about it. There are lots more pictures but I am only gonna post a few.

Gatlinburg!!!

I don't know if you can see it. It says Gatlinburg welcomes you. You should see this place at night!!!
We are here in Gatlinburg. We got in about 3:30 our time. The boys had enough riding and going so we stayed in last night. The trip went well except for a few minor bumps in the road. Aman and I switched drivers before Evansville. Which I didn't realize would mean I had to drive over the big bridge!! I made it but I thought I was gonna get sick. Bridges are the scariest!!! The boys did pretty well watching movies. We stopped in Vencennes, Indiana for them to change clothes out of their pajamas. We fed them some snacks and gave Adam a sippy of water flavored with Hawaiian punch. By the time we reached Evansville he puked it up. When ever he starts getting congested the feeling of snot in his throat makes him gag. Then when we got to Tennessee we had to stop at a rest stop and let the kids play. When we went to get in the car I realized David had to be changed, then realizing he had diarrhea. So we get back on the road make it to Tennessee and I smell something and we get off the interstate and realize David has now got diarrhea coming out of his pants. So Aman and Adam go get a late lunch and I get to clean up the seat and the boy. WOW! It was bad!! So then we get back into the car with the dirty clothes and car seats covered by towels. Which I did try and wipe down to get less dirty, but lets face it it is diarrhea. Then we hit Knoxville with is just like got crazy detours!!! We ended up taking the wrong one, but it ended up saving us time. Still not sure how we managed to do that. Then about a half hour later we hit Sevierville, TN which starts a whole stream of stuff to do and it just stretches down into Gatlinburg where we are.
We took this one for Jim T.
Yep we are in the south!

Thanksgiving is coming!!!

Me in the Van with Adam waiting on Daddy and David
Adam waiting with Mommy's sunglasses
I think I am more excited this Thanksgiving than I have been for Christmas in the last few years. I love having my family and my extended family, but the holidays for like the last 3 years have been more stressful than fun. Every Grandparent and Great Grandparent wants to see the boys on the holidays. So we end up traveling like 3 or 4 places in a day. This wouldn't be bad if they lived near each other, but we go to Marshall, Clarksville, West Union, and St. Francisville. We don't even make it to Great Grandma and Great Grandpa Bumpus house normally. It just gets to be too much to deal with. So this year, just like last year we are going to go to Tennessee to see my sister and get away from all the stress from dealing with all that family. We hope to make this an every year trip cause it is so relaxing to get away from at least one holiday. It does upset some people that we aren't here to have Thanksgiving with them. Hopefully if you are one of these people you will realize we are doing this not to avoid you, but to just relax. One holiday where you have to travel a lot is enough. Anyway, I wish you all a happy Thanksgiving and we will post a blog while we are down there to tell you how it is going.

OH an for those of you who are worried about details we have talked to Grandma Marianne and set up for her to drop David at school and pick him up when we get back. We also got the paper notarized today for her to have guardianship over the boys while we are gone to Indy.

Aman is back from Training

Aman went to Atlanta, Indiana to Becks for dealer training. He left on Wednesday morning and returned last night about 8pm. He learned a lot and had fun with all the people. I think he is more excited about selling seed then he was before. He was up late last night going through all the papers and stuff. He also learned more about the Christmas party. It is a Viva Las Vegas Christmas theme.
